Tyler Perry Reps Say He Had Nothing To Do With Rapper’s Request For More Freedom

 Via (AllHipHop News) Representatives for Tyler Perry are denying any association with rap star Juelz Santana, who was recently granted an extra month of freedom.

Juelz was supposed to surrender to authorities on January 30 to begin serving his 27-month punishment for gun possession, but he was granted an extra month after name dropping Tyler Perry in court filings to the presiding judge.

The rapper said he needed extra time so he could shoot footage with moviemaker Tyler Perry related to reality show “Love & Hip Hop: New York.”

Reps for Tyler Perry confirmed he is not working on anything with Juelz, who will be at the mogul’s massive Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta movie compound for a shoot.

Earlier this week, the judge granted Juelz’ request and pushed back his date of surrender to February 2.

The rapper must turn himself into a prison in Virginia before noon. He was sentenced to the two-year sentence n December.

Juelz was busted by security officials at Newark Liberty International Airport, who found a loaded handgun and non-prescribed Oxycodone pills in a carry-on bag containing Santana’s identification.
